About GCAPGreater Cincinnati Associated Physicians (GCAP) was formed in May, 1994 through the consolidation of 18 independent primary care physicians with practices located throughout Western Hamilton County. This core group of physicians saw the need to develop a large, fully integrated primary care group practice in order to remain competitive in the rapidly changing healthcare market. By joining forces, these physicians are now able to provide more effective and efficient patient care through shared processes for patient care, group purchasing, a common information system, and managed care contracting. Over the past several years, GCAP has experienced considerable growth with a current physician membership of 31 physicians; 13 specializing in Internal Medicine, and 19 specializing in Family Medicine. An increase in GCAP’s scope of services has allowed the group to better manage the delivery of patient care. The addition of GCAP ancillary services which include Physical Therapy, Radiology, Imaging and Laboratory services has proven to be a much valued convenience to our patients. As GCAP looks ahead, one thing is certain – patient satisfaction will continue to be our #1 priority and the group will remain committed to providing superior medical care at cost competitive rates in a managed care environment.
